Your information is church-family information, not a product.
FA Memphis uses personal information to operate church ministry, respond to requests, keep people safe, communicate with people who have asked to hear from us, and maintain church records. We do not sell or rent personal information, prayer requests, care notes, member profiles, or ministry participation data.
Account and contact information, household and membership relationships, ministry/group participation, registrations, communication preferences, attendance/check-in records, volunteer activity, giving records where authorized, and information you intentionally submit through forms.
Sensitive ministry information
Prayer, pastoral care, financial records, child/family records, staff records and private messages use role-based access. A ministry title does not automatically unlock church-wide confidential data.
Why we use information
To provide requested ministry services; manage accounts, events, groups and classes; coordinate volunteers; maintain accurate records; communicate changes; process giving/finance workflows; protect the community; and improve confusing or failing website workflows.
Website improvement analytics
FAOS may record privacy-preserving product signals such as a failed form, zero-result search, slow request, route error or journey restart. The Pain Point Radar is designed not to store prayer text, care narratives, private messages, email addresses or phone numbers in those telemetry events.
Public, member, ministry and administrative layers
The public website uses public information. Signed-in members gain church-family features. A teacher, volunteer leader or pastor receives scoped access to ministries they are assigned to. Authorized administrators can review system health and routing. Finance, sensitive care, child/family records and security controls remain separately restricted even from other leaders.
Children and family records
Independent community/social accounts are intended for people age 13 or older. Children under 13 should participate through parent/guardian-managed family records and approved ministry/classroom workflows. Child photos, recordings and identifying information require especially careful handling and should not be made public merely because they were uploaded.
AI and moderation
The public FA Assistant is designed to answer from approved public church knowledge and Assemblies of God-aligned church resources. It does not receive private finance, care, member-message or admin data through the public knowledge search. Automated safety filters may hold content for review, but a human moderator makes disciplinary decisions such as strikes, restrictions, suspensions or bans.
Communications
Email, text and push-notification preferences are stored so the church can honor subscription and opt-out choices. Operational messages such as an event change may differ from optional promotional or newsletter communication. Do not add people to marketing-style lists merely because their contact information exists somewhere else in the church database.
Service providers and external platforms
FA Memphis may use vendors and platforms to provide hosting, email/text delivery, payments, livestreaming, meetings, storage, authentication and similar functions. Information should be shared only as needed to provide the service and subject to the provider’s own security and privacy terms. External services such as YouTube, Zoom, Google or payment processors may collect information under their own policies when you use them.
Retention, correction and deletion
Records should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for ministry operations, safety, accounting, legal obligations, historical church records or the purpose for which they were collected. Some records—such as accounting, safety, audit or legal records—may need to remain even after an account is closed. You may ask the church to review access, correction, deletion or consent questions through the privacy-request form.
The church may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect a person from serious harm, respond to abuse or safety concerns, comply with lawful process, protect church systems, or meet legal/accounting obligations. The website and AI assistant are not emergency services. In the United States, immediate danger should be directed to 911 and crisis support to 988.
Important legal-review note
This notice documents the platform’s intended privacy and safety practices. Privacy, child-safety, nonprofit, employment, communications, counseling/pastoral-care and record-retention obligations can vary by activity and jurisdiction. FA Memphis should have qualified church counsel review this notice and its operational procedures before treating it as a complete statement of every legal obligation.
