A church community should feel safer than the open internet.
These rules describe how FA Memphis community features are intended to be used. They work together with the Community Guidelines and Privacy & Safety notice.
Accounts and age
Independent community accounts are intended for people age 13 or older. Children under 13 participate through a parent/guardian-managed family or ministry record. Do not create a false-age account for a child or encourage a child to bypass family and ministry safeguards.
Respectful community use
Do not use church community features for harassment, threats, sexual content, exploitation, grooming, hate or slurs, stalking, doxxing, scams, spam, unauthorized solicitation, or intentionally sharing another person’s sensitive information. Profanity and other flagged content may be held for human review.
Moderation and account safety
Automated filters help triage content; they do not make final disciplinary decisions. Authorized human moderators may approve, reject or remove content and may issue a documented strike, temporary restriction, suspension or ban. Three human-issued strikes may trigger suspension. Severe safety concerns may justify immediate restriction or ban without waiting for three strikes.
Prayer, pastoral care and urgent help
We care about you and invite you to share your prayer requests, but our Prayer Wall, pastoral-care inbox and prayer text line are not emergency services or monitored around the clock. Non-emergency replies are generally aimed for within 24–48 hours, sometimes longer due to scheduling or circumstances. For U.S. suicide, self-harm or emotional crises, call or text 988 for free 24/7 support. For immediate danger, threats to another person's safety, or a medical emergency, call 911. Do not wait for a church reply during an emergency. Church office: (901) 843-8600, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Central. Non-emergency prayer and praise text: (901) 213-7341.
Serious safety concerns and lawful disclosure
We take self-harm, threats to others, abuse and immediate danger seriously, without treating every expression of distress as misconduct. Content suggesting serious harm may be held privately for authorized pastoral review. Where legally required or reasonably necessary to respond to imminent serious danger, we may contact emergency services or appropriate authorities and disclose the minimum relevant, available details, potentially including contact information, physical address, submission and technical records. The church cannot guarantee continuous monitoring, the accuracy of user-provided information, an in-person search, locating a person from an IP address, or rescue. Not every adult self-harm disclosure automatically requires a report. Our pastors are not emergency responders or licensed clinical counselors.
Required account contact details
New password registrations require a valid email, phone number and physical address, along with safety agreements. These contact details must be accurate and current, and are not published on a Prayer Wall or public profile. Entering a phone or address alone is not proof of identity and is not the same as completed two-factor authentication. Please review Privacy & Safety before registering.
AI assistance
The FA Assistant can help locate public church information and give general faith-oriented guidance within the church’s Assemblies of God/Pentecostal guardrails. AI output can be incomplete or mistaken and does not replace Scripture, pastoral leadership, professional advice, or human review of safety and disciplinary matters.
Photos, children and private locations
Only share photos you are authorized to share. Ministry photo submissions can be reviewed before public display. Private home addresses for House Groups should not be published in public invitations. Child/family media requires additional care and appropriate parent/guardian and ministry authorization.
External services
Some features open or embed third-party services such as YouTube, Zoom, Google, payment processors or other ministry tools. Their terms and privacy practices also apply when you use those services.
Changes and review
The church may update platform rules as ministry workflows and legal requirements change. Material account/privacy acknowledgments should be versioned so administrators can identify accounts that may need an updated notice.
These operational terms are not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel. Governing-law, dispute, child-consent, record-retention, employment, financial and ministry-specific provisions should be reviewed for the church’s actual legal status and activities before final legal adoption.
